Big Events for Caravans & Motorohome Owners

Caravan owners rejoice!

Major music events come to the Torpoint area each year.

What’s the fun in owning a caravan if you don’t get to take it out on the road?

Sometimes the English Summer just isn’t as long as you want it to be. So often the UK can be blighted with grim weather throughout the summer months, leaving motor-home owners wishing they’d simply bought a static caravan in a warmer part of the country. But before you dump your beloved caravan for a deposit on a static holiday home for sale in Lytham St. Annes, perhaps you should see what us Cornish can offer you first.

There really is no need to give up on your dream of enjoying a balmy, fulfilling English summer. Thanks to our extremely southerly position us Cornish folk get to squeeze these warm months for all they’re worth, allowing us to hold some of the UK’s best festivals well into September. Many of these award-winning, family friendly events are just a stone’s throw away from the Torpoint area, so there really is no excuse to drop by and see us whilst you’re down!

Every year there are a raft of fantastic big-ticket events that you can bring your home on wheels along to, here are our absolute favourites:

Port Eliot Festival

Port Eliot Festival is a family-friendly event full of colour.

There are few festivals in the UK which allow the revellers free reign to explore the grounds of a historic house and park, Port Eliot Festival is one of them. Set within the idyllic estate grounds, the historic seat of the Lord and Lady St. German is transformed into a playground for culture vultures. In addition to excellent underground and established music artists you can also treat yourself to life-drawing lessons, cookery masterclasses and even a dip in the river!

Where? St. Germans, 17 min drive from Torpoint. When? 26th-29th July 2018

Looe Music Festival

Revellers pack out the seafront each year to enjoy the music.

Calling all caravan owners with a love for a ho-down! For the majority of the year, the sleepy town of Looe quietly goes about its business. Its peaceful cafes and idyllic pubs make it a magnet for holiday makers during the summer months, but the town only gets truly packed out once a year. For one weekend each year 100+ international and national music acts cram themselves onto stages all across the town. Stages are erected on the beaches and in the pubs – you’ll even find music tucked away in secret side alleys…

Where? Looe, 27 min drive from Torpoint. When? 21st-23rd September 2018

Little Orchard Cider & Music Festival

Thousands of pints of cider are drained each year at this popular event.

If there’s one thing that South West is famous for its our delicious cider and the Little Orchard Cider & Music Festival certainly seeks to capitalise on that. Now in its sixth year, this gloriously Cornish fest offers caravan owners the opportunity of parking right next to a massive selection of local ciders and top class music acts. Amongst a dizzying array of apple-based beverages there’s also an impressive lineup of food vendors, as well as a music stage curated by BBC Introducing…

Where? Penhallow, 1 hr drive from Torpoint. When? 14th-16th September 2018
